Enmeshment

This piece explores the relationship between technology and tradition through Japanese symbolism and cyberpunk motifs. The technological boom of the past 30 years has surpassed our expectations, bringing both positive and negative consequences to everyday life. On the other side lies tradition: what grounds us, reminds us where we come from, and passes down values and morality. Tradition holds great beauty, yet requires care and attention to survive. How does it blend with technology? Is combining the two even possible? Today, their boundaries have become so blurred that we might believe tradition is successfully accompanying us on our journey towards progress. Yet wishful thinking alone cannot force two antagonistic concepts to become one.
